Announcing the arrival of

Madison Ann
Parents: Travis & Lauren
October 23, 2008 -- 8:06 a.m.
7 pounds 4 ounces -- 20 inches long
I know many of you did not know that Lon & I were going to be grandparents. The timing wasn't quite as we had planned and it has been an emotional ride for everyone these past few months. But we are absolutely thrilled to have her join our family and are looking forward to spoiling her rotten. We know you will agree that she is the most beautiful baby ever born!

More pictures to come soon!

We think she is the most beautiful baby in the world!

She was so bright-eyed!

Lon & Marisa -- the brand new grandparents! Lon is going to be called PaPa, but I have not decided on a name for myself -- I don't want to be Grandma :)

Rockledge High Blue Crew

Each week a group of Rockledge High school students show their spirit as part of the "Blue Crew" to spell out Raiders. Check out Justin with the exclamation point painted on his chest! I think he was so excited, he forgot that he goes at the end :)

This picture was in the online edition of our local paper. I thought it was a hoot!!

Family pictures

After about a six year delay, we finally had a family picture taken. My extra-talented sister, Tina, graciously agreed to be our photographer. It was windier at the beach than we would have liked so Miranda's hair was wild in some of the pics. But here are a few of the ones we really liked!

To get you "up to date" on everyone!

Jared is the 5th grade at Gardendale Elementary Magnet School. He plays the drum in the school band, is in chorus, and works on the school's TV Crew. He can create some awesome things with LEGOs and is very tech-savvy on the computer!
Miranda is in the 8th grade at Kennedy Middle School. She is a cheerleader, in chorus and on the yearbook staff. She does all this and still finds time to have excellent grades and serve as the Beehive Class president at church. In this pic, she is showing off her ticket to the "So You Think You Can Dance" concert tour. Last year, Lon and I took her a concert in Miami -- if you are a SYTYCD fan, it was AWESOME!
Travis (on the left) just graduated from Rockledge High School. We are very proud of him! He is currently going to Brevard Community College full-time and planning to become an RN. He also works part-time as a physical therapy technician at Wuesthoff Hospital.
Justin is in the 10th grade at RHS. He is on the swim team and the wrestling team. He loves to play basketball as well and spends his spare time tracking NBA stats online and playing the guitar. He takes lessons and is very talented!

Finally Blogging!

I don't know if this will work out for me, but I am going to try and create a family blog. I consider myself fairly computer savvy, but setting this up seems have thrown me for a loop :)
We'll see!
